Before & After School Program
Registration for Fall 2026 School Year
Registration for September 1 start dates is now closed. Please register for the waitlist. If a spot becomes available, we will contact you after September 15 about an October 1 start date.
The Before and After School programs offers a safe and fun environment for young people attending elementary school. Care is provided before and after school, supporting learning and activity goals of a school community, while enabling parents and caregivers to pursue their employment or study commitments with peace of mind.
Our before-care starts at 7:30 am (earlier for select schools) and provides care until morning bell rings. Our aftercare runs from afternoon bell until 6 pm. The program operates with the school calendar, on all school days from September to June.

Yearly registration gives equal opportunity for all students attending the school to register in the program.
For any changes or withdrawal from the program, we require written consent and 30 days notice before your next payment date.
Please complete the Change in Registration/Withdrawal Form, HERE.
NOTE: There will be a $30.00 fee applied to your account for each enrollment change in the program (i.e. Moving from Full-time to Part-time care). There is no fee charged for withdrawal from the program..
We do our best to meet community demand, so please add your child to the waitlist. If you have not heard from us within a month of adding your child to the waitlist, please email us at bascprogram@ymcasaskatoon.org to learn your position on the list and the possibility of a space opening.
Registration is by the month. To help us prepare for a smooth program start, all registrations for a September start need to be completed by August 20. Any spots offered from the waitlist after August 20 will begin with an October 1 start date.
In your YMCA Active account, navigate to the “Payment and Order Management” box. Here you can add/change payment methods, obtain tax receipts and see transaction history.
You can pay off any outstanding balances by clicking “Pay on Account”.
Payments are processed automatically on the 1st of each month. You may add one of the following payment methods to your account:
- All major credit cards (e.g., Visa, Mastercard)
- Bank transfer (Electronic Check)
Please note: We do not accept debit cards or Visa/Mastercard debit cards. However, Electronic Check works similarly to a direct withdrawal from your bank account.
When adding your payment method, please double-check that all information is entered correctly. For Electronic Check, enter your account number followed by your routing number. In Canada, the routing number is made up of a 3-digit institution number then a 5-digit branch/transit number, entered together as one 8-digit number.

The YMCA of Saskatoon believes the principle that those who can pay for programs should do so, but the inability to pay should not be a barrier to participation. Through the generosity of our donors, we provide financial assistance for those who are unable to pay for programming. YMCA’s Financial Assistance application is based on income and can cover between 50-70% of BASC fees.
If you believe this applies to you, please download and fill out the attached Financial Assistance Form. and email bascprogram@ymcasaskatoon.org for questions about available spots and registration information. .
Financial Assistance applies for 12 months from July 1 to June 30. Reapplication is necessary each year once you have received your Tax Notice of Assessment from Canadian Revenue Agency (CRA).
For all policies and procedures, please refer to our Parent Handbook.
If you have a question that still isn’t answered, feel free to email us at bascprogram@ymcasaskatoon.org and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can.
