YMCA Blackstrap Day Camp provides a program for children in Grade 2-8 that is perfect place for kids to unplug and connect with the natural world and each other.

Give your child the best of both worlds—a week of adventure at the lake while still sleeping in their own bed each night!
Campers are transported daily to YMCA Blackstrap Day Camp, where they’ll enjoy exciting activities such as swimming, kayaking, canoeing, archery, fort building, crafts, games, and more. Every day is filled with fun, friendship, and outdoor exploration, all led by our energetic and caring camp staff who are dedicated to creating a safe, memorable experience for every child.
At Blackstrap Day Camps busing is included! We have 5 Bus Pick-Up locations around the city where they will be met by our camp leaders and ride the bus to camp. See below for locations & pick-up/drop-off times.
Camp programming runs from 9 am – 3:30 pm.
We offer Before-Camp Care 7:30 am – 8:25 am & After-Camp Care 4 pm – 6 pm at the DOWNTOWN Bus Stop only.

Registration is online only through our Active Portal
The YMCA of Saskatoon believes that financial circumstances should never prevent participation. While those who are able to pay for programs are encouraged to do so, the generosity of our donors allows us to offer financial assistance to those who need support.
If you believe this applies to you, please download and fill out the attached form and email it to camps@ymcasaskatoon.org.
Registration for camp closes one week before camp starts, mondays at 12 noon.
Please make sure your child has the following items:
- Running shoes
- Filled Water bottle
- LUNCH and SNACKS (no refrigeration or microwave on site)
- Towel & Swimsuit; Life jacket, if you have one
- Change of clothing
- Weather appropriate clothing for outdoor activities including:
- Hat for Sun or Rain Gear for Rainy Days
- Sunscreen (SPF 30)
- Insect repellent
If you need to cancel your child’s day camp registration, 100% refunds are available up to 7 full days before the start date of your child’s camp (Sunday 12am/midnight).
Any cancellations under a week before the start date will receive a credit applied to your account for future use. After that time full refunds are issued for medical reasons only.
Cancellations within 24 hours of camp start date will not be refunded or credited.
