A Message From Your YMCA
Your support is even more important during this critical time with the COVID-19 pandemic. We have voluntarily placed all memberships on hold to help our members. By doing so, this has eliminated ongoing funds to keep up simple building maintenence, ensure staff support and keep our community engaged. The YMCA of Saskatoon initiated a pandemic preparedness protocol, which resulted on Monday March 16th at 12 noon the YMCA closing the Health Fitness & Aquatic programs. During this ever evolving situation, the YMCA has focused on making the best possible decisions based on available information to help ensure the health, safety and well-being of staff, and the members, participants, families and children of the YMCA community.
Whether it’s for a quality workout, childcare, or swim lessons, YMCAs serve a big purpose for hundreds and thousands of people in communities across Canada.
But YMCA’s aren’t just a gym. They’re part of an organization focused on “building healthy communities for all” which can include anything from nutrition classes to preschool and so much more.
Contrary to popular belief, membership fees and grant support aren’t enough to keep most YMCA programming and operations going year after year.
Help us to have a sustainable YMCA today, tomorrow and for the future. If you can, please donate.
