Leave a Legacy

Many donors recognize the essential role the YMCA of Saskatoon had in their childhood and throughout their lives. A charitable bequest is a powerful way to support your community.
When you leave a legacy, it helps your YMCA grow and thrive for years to come.

What is a charitable bequest?

Making a gift in your will is simple. You can choose to leave the YMCA of Saskatoon a specific amount of money or a percentage of your estate.  As you consider making a charitable bequest, we recommend you have conversations with your family and later life financial planner about creating or updating your will. We kindly ask that you use our Canada Revenue Agency Number (889538443 RR 0001) to ensure your wishes are clear.

What are the tax benefits of a charitable bequest?

Your estate will be issued a tax receipt for the full value of the bequest, and the resulting tax credit will reduce taxes owing on your final tax bill.  We recommend you seek the advice of a tax professional who will be able to maximize your estate’s tax benefits.
