The YMCA of Saskatoon is happy to share that the Martensville-Warman Early Years Family Resource Center had its Grand Opening on Friday, November 22 at #7-7 Centennial Drive North, Martensville. The event ran from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. Families with young kids, community leaders, and local officials came to enjoy the celebration. Which started with a short media event and ribbon cutting at 9:00 am. At 10:00 am, there was family-friendly food and a tour of the center.
This Family Resource Center is a fun and safe place for children from before birth up to age six and their families to play and learn together. It offers free programs, playtimes, community events, and chances to meet early childhood experts. For examaple nurses, speech and language therapists, and child psychologists. The center focuses on four main areas: early learning, parent education, family wellness, and connecting families to community support and information.

I’m glad to see more Family Resource Centers opening in our province,” said Education Minister Everett Hindley. “These centers help young children learn and grow by giving parents the support and tools they need to help their kids get a great start.”
“Raising children can be tough, and this center is here to help families find support in a kind and welcoming place,” said DeeAnn Mercier, CEO of YMCA Saskatoon. “We’re the biggest child care provider in Saskatoon and nearby areas, so running these Family Resource Centers is a natural fit. We thank the Prairie Spirit School Division and the Ministry of Education for their support.
