YMCA Saskatoon Judo Club
The word “Judo” is a Japanese word. “Ju” means gentle and “do” means the way, so Judo means “the gentle way.”
Judo is a safe and fun sport for all ages. It helps you stay active, make friends, and learn new skills. It also builds confidence, improves coordination, and teaches anti-bullying and self-protection in a supportive environment.
In partnership with the YMCA, the Saskatoon Judo Club has proudly seen many of its athletes attend high level competitions, such as the Saskatchewan Winter Games, Canada Games, National Championships and International events.
The Saskatoon Judo Club offers a variety of classes and welcomes all experience levels.
Drop-Ins
If you don’t have a YMCA membership, you are still welcome to try judo in in the Adult and Kata Classes – however, you will have to pay a drop-in fee. Every person who joins the club must also pay a club fee set by Judo Sask.
For out-of-town judo players who don’t have a YMCA membership and are in good standing with Judo Sask, a drop-in fee will be required to participate in the class.
