YMCA Saskatoon is continuing our partnership with Golf Canada and plans to offer introductory golf lessons for youth ages 7–12 this fall and winter.
The lessons will take place every other Saturday from 12:00–1:00 p.m. in the gymnasium. We have indoor golf equipment provided by Golf Canada for this initiative, and we are looking for a few “golfers” who are interested in helping kids learn the basics of golf in a fun and welcoming environment.
Our goal is to hold the first lesson on October 24, if we are able to find instructors by then. The program would ideally run through the end of March.
Fred Dyck will be one of our instructors and we are hoping to find two or three additional instructors who can join a rotating schedule. With a small team, instructors would only need to lead approximately one to two classes per month.
If you are interested in getting involved or would like to learn more about the program, please reach out to Fred Dyck to express your interest and have a conversation about the opportunity.
We would love to have a few enthusiastic golfers join us and help introduce local youth to the game!
