The holidays can be stressful, and we want to help make things easier. Our Angel Tree program connects families who need a little extra support this Christmas with the kind of people who want to give. When you sponsor an angel, you give a gift bundle (worth about $50) based on what they wish for.

What is the Angel Tree Program?
This year, the YMCA’s Child and Youth Program has started the Angel Tree Program for the holiday season. The program supports Families who might be looking for a little extra support in providing gifts for their children’s holiday.
The program has three stages:
1. Angel Registration, Nov. 3 – 11: Applications are open for Families who are the guardians of children aged 16 or younger.
2. Fulfilling Wishes & Drop Off, Nov. 14 -Dec. 5: Opportunity to sponsor an Angel opens for everyone to fulfill our Angels’ holiday wishes.
3. Angel Pick-Up, Dec. 10-15: Angels collect gifts/wishes at the YMCA Saskatoon Downtown Location.
Angels are the children, who are accepted to be a part of the Angel Tree Program. Applicants must meet the following requirements to be accepted for the program:
· You are the legal guardian for children 16 or younger
· You are able to pick up or arrange gift pick-up at YMCA Saskatoon’s Downtown location.
It is important to note that proof of guardianship might be requested at any time*
If the above applies to you and you would like to register your children as Angels for our Angel Tree, please register before November 11, 2025.
Please Note: The Angel sponsorship will only be available between Nov 14 – Dec 7th
ONLINE Head to https://ymcasaskatoon.org/sponsor-an-angel/ to view the Angel cards that are still available. Click on the Angel # you would like to sponsor, and an email will open up to fill in your information and send to angeltree@ymcasaskatoon.org
IN-PERSON At the YMCA of Saskatoon’s downtown location, simply choose a card from the Angel Tree set-up by the front Desk and send an email to the YMCA angel Tree team at angeltree@ymcasaskatoon.org to let us know the card number of the Angel(s) you have selected, along with your name and phone number. You can choose to sponsor multiple Angels by selecting their cards.
For those who prefer to select an angel wish list from the tree in person, please ensure that you bring back the tag, when dropping-off the gifts.
No Later than Dec. 7 at 7pm: Drop off gifts at YMCA Saskatoon’s Downtown Location at 25 22nd St. E. Please bring gifts unwrapped, with the Angel # on the tag or a note, to the front desk team
Between Dec. 10-15: Angel families can pick up their gifts at YMCA of Saskatoon’s Downtown Location at 25 22nd St. E. Tell the front desk that you are there to pick up your Angel Tree gifts. Staff will take your name and check ID according to the name given at registration, before handing over your bag of wrapped gifts.
When they are registered, Angels create a wish list of gifts they would like to receive. Sponsors are not required to fulfill all wishes, and the recommended price range is approximately $50 per Angel sponsorship
We understand that there may be limitations during this holiday season. We ask you to choose Angels that have wishes you feel you can fulfill. If you can’t find exact wishes, please find an alternative gift similar to the wish or a gift card to a store where Angels can purchase the wish later.
